Darya is on the board of the refugee and community work "Licht e.V.", which her parents founded. Over the last 17 years she has accompanied many refugees on their new start in Germany and has since been using her music and platform to campaign for human rights, women's rights, and oppressed and persecuted Christians.

Building a bridge between Iranian and German culture, sharing the history and voice of oppressed Iranians with the West, be it through her music, or through speeches and community work, is one of her areas of activity.
