About Darya

Darya Baniamerian is a christian musician and speaker who was born in Iran and grew up in Germany. She was the first female Iranian worship singer in Europe, who did worship music combined with English and German language. Her work spans across various fields, such as her faith, including human rights, women rights and refugee advocacy.

Through her music and her voice, Darya represents persecuted Christians in Iran and persecuted women and is a bridge builder through her multicultural music in English, German and Farsi language.

Musically, she has toured internationally, performing in countries such as Turkey, England, Austria, and the USA. She studied at the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg and has released two Persian albums. Despite censorship in Iran, her music, which touches on themes like exile, faith, and her personal journey, is streamed there `illegally`. Her live performances are known for their mix of Western and Persian influences, creating a unique and energetic experience.

Darya frequently holds seminars and speeches about the history of Irans christianity,

the situation of women in Iran and the persecuted church in Iran.

"I want to use my voice for those who have none and bring attention to them through my singing and my speeches."  Through her music and her activities Darya builds bridges between cultures and people.

As a professional worshipper and someone who holds leadership positions, she openly supports causes such as women’s rights and refugee issues for Iranians.

Darya is particularly vocal about the injustices in Iran, using her social media platforms and voice. She frequently highlights how her actions and roles—if carried out in Iran—would lead to severe punishment under Iranian law.
